CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY:
Clinical Pharmacology:
The second generation aminoglycoside antibiotics tobra mycin is one of the most widely used antibiotics for clinics. Tobra mycin has strong antibacterial activity to indole positive proteobacteria, Klebsiella pneumonia, positive bacteria and negative bacteria such as pseudomonas and staphylococcus aureus, especially to the pseudomonas aeruginosa (stronger than gentamicin for 2~4 times).
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Tobra mycin Ophthalmic Solution USP, 0.3% is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of its components.
WARNINGS:
FOR TOPICAL OPHTHALMIC USE ONLY. NOT FOR INJECTION INTO THE EYE. Sensitivity to topically applied aminoglycosides may occur in some patients. If a sensitivity reaction to Tobra mycin Ophthalmic Solution USP, 0.3% occurs, discontinue use.
