Function:
(1) Respiratory infection: acute bronchitis, acute attack of chronic bronchitis, diffuse bronchiolitis, bronchiectasis with infection, pneumonia, tonsillitis (peritonsillar abscess);
(2) Urinary system infection: pyelonephritis, complicated urinary tract infection, etc.
(3) Reproductive system infection: acute prostatitis, acute accessory orchitis, uterine cavity infection, uterine adnexitis and pelvic inflammation (metronidazole may be used when anaerobic bacterial infection is suspected);
(4) Infection of skin and soft tissue: infectious pustulosis, cellulitis, lymphatic vessel (nodule), subcutaneous abscess, perianal abscess, etc.
(5) Intestinal infection: bacillary dysentery, infectious enteritis, Salmonella enteritis, typhoid and paratyphoid;
(6) Infections in patients with sepsis, granulocytopenia and immunodeficiency;
(7) Other infections: mastitis, trauma, burn and wound infection after operation, abdominal infection (combined with metronidazole if necessary), cholecystitis, cholangitis, bone and joint infections, and facial infections.
